Uplink and Downlink Communications Fusion for Enhanced Radar Sensing

Published in 2023 IEEE 24th International Workshop on Signal Processing Advances in Wireless Communications (SPAWC), 2023

This invited paper develops a fusion framework that combines uplink and downlink communication signals to enhance radar sensing in integrated sensing and communication systems. The bidirectional fusion exploits the complementary geometry of uplink and downlink propagation to improve target-detection performance.
