On Spatio-Frequential Smoothing for Joint Angles and Times of Arrival Estimation of Multipaths

Published in ICASSP 2016 - IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2016

This paper develops a spatio-frequential smoothing technique for joint angle-of-arrival (AoA) and time-of-arrival (ToA) estimation in multipath channels. By exploiting both the spatial redundancy of the antenna array and the frequency-domain structure of wideband signals, the method improves estimation accuracy and robustness against coherent multipath.
