From Coverage to Sensing: ISAC meets FR3

Published in IEEE Communications Magazine, 2026

This paper articulates a vision for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) operating in the FR3 upper mid-band spectrum (7.125–24.25 GHz). It bridges the coverage advantages of mid-band frequencies with the sensing capabilities required for next-generation 6G wireless networks, surveying the design challenges and opportunities of jointly addressing communication coverage and sensing performance in this band.
