Dual-Mode Chirp Spread Spectrum Modulation
Published in IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2022
This paper introduces a dual-mode chirp spread spectrum (CSS) modulation that jointly modulates two complementary chirp modes, effectively doubling the information embedded per chirp symbol relative to conventional CSS. The construction preserves the low-complexity demodulation of CSS and is targeted at low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) applications.
